Scholarship

A programme of scholarships for children of crafts people is an ongoing activity established this year. School education for 15 children of craftspeople is covered under this activity. A special committee selects children from the nominations received from members based on a set of criteria. A unique feature of this activity is that a member of CCI is assigned as mentor for each child. The mentor monitors the performance of the child at school. Another role of the mentor is to guide the child in the practice of his/her traditional craft along with design inputs, different approaches, exchange programmes, etc.
