The international convention facilitated by the World Crafts Council will entail 6 workshops running simultaenously on alternative jewellery techniques – January 28 – February 3, 2011 - at the Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, New Delhi.

Cuba-India Silver jewellery Craft Exchange Programme
In return for an exchange programme for crafts conducted between India and Cuba last year. A workshop for silver jewellery will be held from January 28 to February 3 2011 at the Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, New Delhi alongside the 6 workshops of Abhushan.

Abhushan
Design-Dialogues in Jewellery - A convention on jewellery from grass to gold – February 4 – 6, 2011, New Delhi, India. The convention is intended to capture the diversity, symbolism, artistic form in jewellery and pay homage to the craftsperson from all over the world.

Abhushan (Seminar / Bazaar)
A designer gallery of curated jewellery, a crafts bazaar, and a seminar will be held at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi from February 4- 6, 2011.

Leather Puppetry Craft Exchange Programme
A workshop for leather puppeteers from the four southern states of India along with their counterparts from Indonesia and Thailand. February 9-18, 2011 at the Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai. Exchange of techniques in making puppets as well as in performance. A joint performance at the end of the 10 days will be open to public. Sponsored by the Development Commissioner Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

KUTEERA Exhibition
The Crafts Council of Karnataka will be organising an exhibition from February 19 – 26, 2011 at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Kumara Krupa Road, Bangalore-560001. Thirty-five crafts persons from twelve States representing different crafts will be participating. The Exhibition will highlight the crafts products which add a new dimension to interior decoration.
