CCI's Kamala crafts outlet in New Delhi has proved a great success. Three areas to be strengthened in the next five years have been identified - opening retail outlets, trade to focused professional areas and follow up with trade enquiries.

In the context of modernization and urbanization, retailing occupies a large part of the market space. CCI has taken upon itself to assist the craftsperson in reaching out to and being relevant in the retail market space.

Direct access to specialized and professional contexts such as that of architects is another area which the craftspersons need and CCI has addressed.

Exhibitions of various kinds, at different scales, catering to different market segments is another area that CCI engages in.

Also, these platforms act as routes to gathering trade information which requires to be documented into useful information for the sector - particularly useful other than for CCI, for the craftspersons, the Government of India and for other NGOs or crafts enthusiasts.
